Welcome to a new addition of the Roman Gabriel Show, a throwback
episode ! My guest is former Los Angeles Rams Pro Football Hall of
Fame Defensive end Jack Youngblood. Jack's
was a number one draft pick of the Rams in 1971. But even he wasn't
sure about how long he would be there, with two of the greatest
members of the vaunted Fearsome Foursome, and future Pro Football
Hall of Famers: Merlin Olsen, and the Minister of Defense David
"Deacon" Jones. Jack tells us some great stories about fitting in
early on the Rams defense, the great contemporaries like Allan
Page, and Bob Lilly. And of course leading the Rams defense to the
1979 Super Bowl against the Pittsburgh Steelers playing with a
broken tibia.
A two time NFC Defensive Player of the Year, two time sack leader,
and a member of the 70's all decade team. Iv'e known Jack since I
was nine years old, he played with my father the first two years of
his career. Enjoy this conversation talking Los Angeles Rams
Football with the great Jack Youngblood. Remember for all of your
