Welcome to a new addition of the Roman Gabriel Show. My guest is
Los Angeles Rams Pro Football Hall of Fame Running back Eric
Dickerson. He belonged to one of the great college football
backfields of all time at SMU University, best known as the "Pony
Express" with fellow Mustang Back Craig James. During his
illustrious NFL career, he rushed for over 13,000 yards, still
holds the NFL's single-season rushing record with 2,105 yards, set
in 1984, and the single game playoff record of 248 yards. Dickerson
was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1999. In 2019,
he was named to the NFL 100th Anniversary All-Time Team. I sat down
for a in depth conversation about his football life, and his
recollections of a life well lived in his new book "Watch My
Smoke". The story of growing up in the small Texas town of Sealy,
and realizing his dream as a number one (1) draft pick of the Los
Angeles Rams. I remember him bringing fear into the hearts of
opposing defenses, a devastating combination of size, speed, and
strength. Learn more about Eric Dickerson the man, enjoy this
conversation with one of the greats in NFL history.
